Molasses Making in Happy Valley
Longtime Happy Valley residents James Church and James Winkler continue to make molasses the way it was done in the area 100 years ago. Listen as an ox grinds sweet sorghum cane, extracting 100 gallons of juice to make 10 gallons of molasses.
"We do it because we love it," Church says, "and we don't want to see it die out."
