Happy Valley Music Traditions

Christine Horton

Hear longtime Happy Valley residents describe and play the traditional music they grew up with. Pianist Christine Horton played her first job at the local VFW when she was only 13. At age 10, Clyde Ferguson, Sr. learned to play guitar by ear from listening to the radio. Bobby McMillon collected a whole journal of traditional songs from relatives and friends by the time he was 16. Reggie Harris grew up in a musical family and today plays with The Harris Brothers.
